The multiverse is most easily described as a universe of universes. The multiverse consists of all of the universes in existence, a number of demi-planes, and other paraphenailia. It is divided into three 'plates' - Asgard, the Mortal Realms, and the Spiritual Realm.

[edit] Origins
The multiverse is believed to have been created by the Lawmakers, an unknown amount of over-deities. They created the four universes of Earth, Gaia, Kalikar, and Terra, and the four core dimensions were to exist in harmony: Earth and Terra were opposed (physical vs magical), as were Gaia and Kalikar (natural vs technological). This event occured in CY 0, as it is believed to be the birth of the multiverse with nothing before it.
Some years later (circa CY 20), the Spiritual Realm was added to provide a resting place for souls after death. The first Reaper'Mor'st was created to watch over the souls. The Spiritual Realm was placed outwith the touch of mortals.
When the first murder occured, the Archangel and Archdemon were created to be opposing sides of good and evil - before this act, good and evil had not existed.
Later, the gods created Asgard as a location from them to rest. Like the Spiritual Realm, it was placed outwith the touch of mortals. Asgard was put 'above' the core worlds, and the Spiritual Realm was placed 'below' the rest of the multiverse.

[edit] Present Day Multiverse
The multiverse is unknown in size, although it is most simply deemed to be infinite in size. The four core dimensions are out of balance after Magus took over Terra (see the Battle of Terra), and then Mashin took control of Earth and Kalikar when he ascended to become Archdemon.
[edit] Multiple Multiverses
The Multiple Multiverse Theory was formed sometime after AT 2 by a number of people affected by the Warriors of Light, and some of the Warriors themselves. At least twice, the Warriors of Light came across alternate versions of themselves (another Warrior of Light group appeared on Majikku and a third Hotshot appeared on the tournament world), originally believed to have come from a different universe or time, but now it is thought by some (including Thea Moonbeam and Quarigon Le'th) that they came from another multiverse. There is no proof to this theory, but it is widely believed by a number of prominent figures from history.
